Fame is Winnipeg’s newest GLBTTQ* bar located in the heart of downtown. The bar has a fun and friendly atmosphere where you can dance to the latest beats or relax in their lounge area. They play an awesome range of music from HOUSE / NU DISCO / FUNK / BREAKS / ELECTRO / DUB / and more. Fame Nightclub is proud to be the Official Pride 2011 Nightclub sponsor! They are also active in the GLBTTQ* community and help raise funds.
The design of the website needed to appeal to a younger demographic and showcase the GLBTTQ* influences that the club is about. The site needed to be easily updatable by the client, and have the events at the club prominent since that is how they acquire a large portion of their revenue. The club also has the option of booking speciality events such as birthday parties on other days of the week as well. It was also essential to incorporate the GLBTTQ* colors into the design of the website to pay tribute to its audience as well as feature fund-raising events that helped raise money for the community.

The user interface needed to be extremely intuitive to make it easy to find event information while appealing to a 20 to 30 age audience. We created smooth, clean, and creatively appealing menu where the GLBTTQ* colors were showcased. This allowed us to incorporate the client’s request without it being too overwhelming on every page. We also know that the audience was likely to be searching for upcoming events, and the club’s location so the most recent upcoming events are featured on every page. The client can also easily update this website through an administration interface by simply filling out the required information and it will automatically be created and show up in the calendar and the upcoming events widget which is featured on every page. We also included a gallery where images taken at the club could easily be uploaded to the website and give people an idea of what to expect. To make booking events easy, we added a form field where users simply had to enter the information on the website for their ticket to be made for their event.
